Why on Earth Are We Doing "Training" With South Korea in the Yellow Sea?

It seems like Kim Jong-Il, the notorious leader of North Korea has been a thorn in the side of the Us State Department, the Us military, and the United States for quite some time. It also appears that China doesn't admittedly wish to do a lot about it, because it bogs down the United States and admittedly helps China serve its own political will. One issue that not a lot of citizen are talking about is the fact that the United States does have the power to go in and stop North Korea from proliferating nuclear weapons.

Not long ago, I was talking to a old military and Cia friend of mine at the local coffee shop and he made the most dubious comment; "Why had Earth are we doing training exercises with South Korea in the yellow Sea, and bringing an aircraft carrier with six squadrons, fully armed into these naval exercises, when we could just as admittedly have used that money to commence an actual attack on North Korea?"

In other words, what he was saying is why are we so busy trying to show a sign of force, rather than just going in and getting the job done - sounds like man has been learning way too much Sun Tzu. In other words, solving the qoute once and for all, and allowing the world to take notice, and to put Iran on alert that if don't stop enriching uranium to make nuclear weapons, to give to terrorists to; "blow Israel off the map," which Ahmedinajad likes to say when he gives speeches in his own country, that they are potentially next.

Indeed, I belief about this for a while, and it appears to me that if the United States military is going to spend hundreds of millions of dollars and dispatch an aircraft carrier for a war game practice and training with our South Korean allies, then shouldn't we forgo the training mission and just take payment of the North Korean problem?

All this political posturing, and sticking our chest out, yelling and screaming, seems rather childish. It seems it would be much safer, smarter, and quicker to merely go in and do our business, and get the hell out. Please reconsider all this.
